Dorothy I. Allen, 85, of Janesville passed away at her home Monday morning, September 15, 2014. Dorothy was born in Janesville on April 3, 1929, the daughter of Peter and Kathryn (Schartner) Haberli. She attended St. Mary’s Grade School. She married Harold M. Allen on June 30, 1951. He preceded her in death on December 31, 2002. Dorothy was formerly employed as a cashier by A & P Grocery and Eagle Foods. Surviving are two sons, Orin (Leslie) of Janesville, Dean (Jeannie) of Mt. Horeb, WI, three grandchildren, Amanda (Chris) Waldhart, Ruark (Kendra) Allen, Sarah Allen, four great-grandchildren, Greenly and Ellie Waldhart, Logan and Cora Allen. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters, Marie and Rosemary and one brother, Edward. Private services will be held at Milton Lawns Memorial Park Chapel followed by entombment in the mausoleum there. Memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice. Henke-Clarson Funeral Home assisted the family.
